Jeffrey F. Lane is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at Princeton University as well as a fellow of The Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation. Lane writes about street life and the Internet in the inner city. His dissertation is called The Digital Street, an ethnographic study of adolescents coming of age in Harlem.
Lane’s research has been supported by the National Science Foundation and recognized for achievement by the American Sociological Association’s Section on Communication and Information Technologies.
Prior to the current project, Lane published a book with University of Nebraska Press entitled Under the Boards, a study of racial narratives in professional and amateur basketball.
